• An Audio Bundle: The World's Shortest Stores & The World's Shortest Stories of Love and Death

·  Publishers Weekly 'Listen Up' Award ·  ForeWord Magazine Audiobook of the Year - Silver Finalist   Murder.  Love.  Horror.  Suspense.  All this and much more in the most amazing short stories ever written--each one just 55 words long!Consider for a moment 55 words.  It's an absurdly tiny number.  No, it's an impossible tiny number.  It's what O. Henry might have conjured up if he'd only had the back of a business card to write upon.  You'll find murder and suspense, horror and intrigue, love and betrayal, plus distant worlds and inner demons. All in a measly 55 words! Billboard magazine had this to say about The World’s Shortest Stories Vol. 1, “What is most impressive in this collection of great stories is the sheer variety.  Let’s hope a second volume of these tiny gems will not be long in coming!” Well, here it is! Love and death, and all of the horror in between.  A second helping of the most amazing short stories ever written—each one just 55 words long!  Imagine O. Henry's tales if he'd only had the back of a business card to write upon.  Includes stories from Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, Barnaby Conrad, Neil Steinberg, Herbert Gold, Norman Lear, Larry Niven and more…

"Editor Steve Moss has always liked words—so much so that he decided to start his own weekly newspaper so if there was nothing around to read, he'd have no one but himself to blame.  He has been a reporter, editor, busboy, art director, construction grunt, advertising copywriter, and graphic artist.  He is the editor and co-publisher of New Times in San Luis Obispo, where he started Fifty-Five Fiction as an annual writing contest.

Editor John Daniel, a native of Minnesota, has written five books.  He has worked as a bookseller, francelance writer, editor, entertainer, model, innkeeper and teacher.  He is now a small press publisher in Santa Barbara, California."

Frank Muller garnered praise as one of the most talented narrators of audiobooks of all time.  Author Stephen King aptly said, "[When Frank read] the blind will saw, the lame walked, and the deaf heard." His work was recognized with every major audiobook award. Kathy Garver is best known for her role as "Cissy" in the CBS prime time hit, "Family Affair," one of the most enduring television shows of the 1960s. Suzanne Toren was the recipient of the Narrator of the Year Award for her recordings of Talking Books for the Library of Congress and of the TORGI Award from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.Alyssa Bresnahan has been named one of the "Fifty Greatest Voices of the century" by Audiofile Magazine. Her stage credits include MacBeth at the Classic Stage Company and Hedda Galer at the Hudson Guild Theater.  She has narrated more than 50 audiobooks.  She lives in Santa Monica, CA. Laura Hamilton, winner of an ALA Notable Recording Award and numerous PW Listen Up Awards, lives in Chicago where she balances a life working for important causes with a creative life of voice-over, commercial and stage work.  She is very, very happy. Jeff Woodman has been named one of the "Fifty Greatest Voices of the Century" by Audiofile Magazine. On stage, he created the title role in Tennessee William’s The Notebook of Trigorin and won the S.F. Bay Area Critic’s Circle Award for An Ideal Husband.  He lives in New York City.
