About Us

Listen & Live Audio was the brainchild, in 1993, of two MBA classmates at The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.


In the three decades since, Listen & Live Audio has published over 1,000 titles, working with many of the best-known narrators in the audiobook industry, including film legend Burt Reynolds, classic tv star Kathy Garver, Lauren Tewes of “The Love Boat” fame, Penn Jillette of "Penn & Teller," Frank Muller, Grover Gardner, Lyssa Browne, George Guidall, Simon Prebble, Patrick Lawlor, and the incomparable Katy Kellgren, to name just a few.


The company has won 3 Odyssey Honor Awards and 4 Audie Award awards, while receiving 12 Audie Award nominations, and dozens of AudioFile 'Earphones' awards and Publishers Weekly 'Listen Up' Awards. One title, “The Jane Austen Book Club,” was made into the 2007 feature film, starring Emily Blount and Maria Bello.

Listen & Live Audio has had the privilege of recording many high-profile books, including the New York Times bestseller "Jump The Shark," "The Darwin Awards" series, "The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook" series, as well as, books and novels from bestselling authors Donna Hanover, Adrienne Barbeau, Carol O'Connell, David Rosenfelt, Barbara Corcoran, Karen White, and Cassandra King. The company’s 12-title “Bloody Jack” series, written by LA Meyers and narrated by Katy Kellgren, is considered one of the finest audiobook series ever released.
